Stacious “grateful” after Jamaica Festival Song victory

Dancehall entertainer Stacious says she is overwhelmed and grateful following her historic win of the 2021 Jamaica Festival Song Competition on Thursday (July 23) night.

Stacious copped the coveted title and a whopping $3 million cash prize for her entry song “Jamaican Spirit”, which made her the fourth woman to have won the contest in its 55-year history of the competition.

During an exclusive Music News interview Friday (July 23), Stacious used the platform to thank the persons who supported her throughout the competition.

This year’s competition had 12 finalists instead of the usual 10. DB copped the second place spot with his entry Love Jamaica My Land, while Tamo J took third place with the Real Talk.

Dancehall entertainer I-Octane who was also a part of the Jamaica Festival Song Competition, used his verified Instagram account to congratulate Stacious on her win.

Other congratulatory messages across social media came from Minister Olivia Babsy Grange, Reggae singer Tarrus Riley, Dancehall deejays Tifa, and D Angel.
