Scores of people turn out for first day of week-long vaccination blitz

Scores of people have turned out at various vaccination sites across the island to receive the Covid-19 jab.

This as the Health Ministry’s week long vaccination exercise commences today (July 31), following the arrival of 300,000 doses of the Astra Zeneca Covid-19 vaccine from the United Kingdom, yesterday (July 30).

The vaccination exercise which will run until August 7 is opened to all Jamaicans 18 years and older, with the target of inoculating 150,000 persons, with the first dose of the vaccine.

Appointments for first dose may be made using the registration portal, by visiting the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ website, or by calling the National Vaccination Hotline.
