Mandeville Regional Hospital urges road users to be more careful, as bike crashes put strain on hospital resources

Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Mandeville Regional Hospital Alwyn Miller is urging road users to be more careful, so as to avoid accidents and thereby minimize the strain on hospital resources.

Mr. Miller said the hospital is facing challenges with the number of patients involved in motorcycle crashes.

Speaking at yesterday’s (August 3) handing over ceremony of equipment, including orthopaedic tools, Mr. Miller said the injuries from the bike crashes are overwhelming the hospital.

He expressed appreciation for the 40,000 US dollar worth of equipment, donated to the hospital.
