Justice Minister Delroy Chuck is urging newly commissioned Justices of the Peace (JPs) for St. Catherine, to not allow themselves to be used.

Speaking yesterday (August 11) at the commissioning service, Mr. Chuck stressed the importance of JPs always standing up for what is right.

Mr. Chuck recounted that he has been at the receiving end of expletives when he refused to sign documents for someone he does no know.

The Minister warned the JPs against being easily bought.

He also warned that any JP who fails to uphold the integrity of the office, will be decommissioned by the Custos.
