President of the Medical Association of Jamaica, Dr. Andrew Manning is calling on the government to formulate strategies to employ more doctors and health care workers.
His call comes as Covid-19 cases and hospitalisations continue to rise.
The Health Ministry reported that some 607 persons are hospitalised with the virus.
Speaking with Irie Fm News, Dr. Manning said the hospitals are under pressure and health care workers are tired.
Dr. Manning said more doctors are needed.
He urged citizens to obey the Covid-19 protocols as well as get vaccinated.
