The first set of community Covid vaccination ambassadors has been engaged by the government.

The ambassadors are expected to assist in the ramping up of the vaccination campaign by engaging with people at the local level.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says some 60 individuals have been engaged by Member of Parliament for North East St. Andrew, Delroy Chuck.

He adds that he is hopeful that the community mobilization will reinforce the national message that is being put out by the Ministry of Health and the Government.
