Councillor for the Molynes Gardens division in St. Andrew Patrick Roberts said he will be offering support to the relatives of the elderly woman who was washed away by flood waters in the Sandy Gully, yesterday.

The body of 75 year old Beryl Bryan of Drewsland was found by a search party today.

Mr. Roberts said he knew Ms. Bryan very well.

He noted that the incident with Ms. Bryan has further plunged the community into grief, as the members were already mourning the recent death of a young man.

Mr. Roberts is urging other residents to always be mindful of the dangers posed by the Sandy Gully, whenever there is heavy rainfall.
