Opposition Spokesman on Health Dr. Morais Guy says it is good that a member of the Government has admitted that there are issues with the management of the vaccination programme

Member of Parliament for East Rural St. Andrew Juliet Holness criticised the Health Ministry for administering the Pfizer vaccine to adults, when its the only one approved for children.

The ministry had initially said it would have placed focus on children aged 12 to 18.

Last week the Ministry had to dump close to 60,000 doses of Astrazeneca Vaccine.

It has also announced the halting of the administering of the Pfizer vaccine until the next shipment arrives. Persons are awaiting their second dose.

Mrs. Holness who spoke at yesterday’s (October 5) meeting of the PAAC said the situation needed an explanation from the Health Ministry

Meantime the Opposition says it had been making this point for sometime.
