Police launch search for second young girl gone missing in Bath, St. Thomas in less than a week

The police have resumed their search for thirteen-year-old- Winshae Barrett, of Bath, St. Thomas.

Winshae is the second child from the community, to go missing in less than a week.

She was reported missing yesterday (October 16), shortly after 9-year-old, Physlisa Prussia, who was reportedly abducted on Thursday (October 14), was found alive.

Reports from the Bath Police are that Winshae was last at home, about 3:30 p.m., wearing a blue pullover, a blue skirt and a pair of black slippers.

She is of dark complexion, stout build, and is about 167 centimetres or 5 feet 6 inches tall.

Head of the St. Thomas Police Division, Superintendent Alison Byfield, told Irie Fm News, that the police began searching for Winshae last evening.

Meantime, she said efforts to locate Davian Bryan who was listed as a person of interest in Phylisa’s abduction, continue.

Superintendent Byfield said while the police are broadening their search, Bryan is not being ruled out, as a suspect in Winshae’s disappearance.

Meantime, the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, CPFSA, has commended the police, community members and all who assisted in locating nine-year-old Phylisa Prussia.

Phylisa who was abducted from her home in Bath, St. Thomas on Thursday, was found alive yesterday in a nearby community in the parish.

She was taken to hospital for medical examination.

The CPFSA says it has been providing counselling support to the family.

Chief Executive Officer of the CPFSA, Rosalee Gage-Grey in lauding persons who played a role in finding Phylisa, urged parents and guardians to ensure that children are supervised.

Meantime, reacting to news that another child- Winshae Barrett has gone missing from the same community, Mrs. Gage Grey said she is hopeful, that she will be found alive.
