Suspect in assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise Held in Jamaica.

The International Criminal Police Organization,  INTERPOL, has issued a red notice for a Columbian man, believed to be a suspect in the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise after he was arrested in Jamaica, recently

International media have identified the Colombian national as Mario Antonio Palacios.   He was held in Jamaica for immigration breaches.

The Jamaica Constabulary in a statement,  Thursday did not name the foreign national but said following his arrest for immigration breaches, he became the subject of an INTERPOL red notice effective Thursday.  A red notice is issued for fugitives wanted either for prosecution or to serve a sentence.

It is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender or similar legal action.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force says its working with international partners in line with established treaties and protocols.
