by November 8th, 2021

Physician and Covid-19 Specialist Dr. Princeton Brown says if Jamaicans continue to be vaccine hesitant, the country could remain in the pandemic for the next two to three years.

His comment follows yesterday’s (November 7) announcement by the Ministry of Health, that over 1 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered.

This meets the target that was set for the end of November.

However fewer than 500,000 persons are fully vaccinated.

Speaking with Irie Fm News, Dr. Brown says the country will remain in the pandemic, if the vaccine take up rate does not increase quickly.

According to Dr. Brown, the public has to make an informed and responsible decision and desist from listening to uninformed persons.

Dr. Brown further states that the available vaccines are effective against the virus.
