by November 8th, 2021

The National Works Agency, N-W-A says some roads which were impacted by flood waters in St. James, have been cleared.

The roads in Montego Bay and other parts of the parish were flooded or damaged, following heavy rains overnight.

Speaking with Irie Fm News, Community Relations Officer for the NWA’s Western Region, Janel Ricketts said teams were mobilised to clear the roadways.

She says sections of the Barnett to Adelphi Road, which were blocked by washed down debris are now accessible to motorists.

Meantime, in light of reports from the Met Office that a stationary front will remain across Jamaica until tomorrow (November 9), Ms. Ricketts is urging road users to exercise caution.
