Jamaica’s Covid-19 case count nearing 90,000 mark

Jamaica’s Covid-19 case count is nearing the 90,000 mark.

This as 108 new cases yesterday (November 10) have pushed the tally to 89,926.

Of the new cases 65 are females and 43 are males.

They range in age from 38 days to 97 years.

All parishes except Portland recorded new cases.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest with 37 followed by St. Catherine with 35.

The positivity rate is 13.7%.

Meantime there were 4 additional Covid-19 related deaths.

The deceased are two females and 2 males.

They range in age from 45 to 66.

They lived in St. James, Kingston & St. Andrew and St. Catherine.

The Covid death toll is now 2,302.

6 additional deaths are under investigation.

Meantime, 258 more persons have recovered, pushing the tally to 59,936.

217 persons are in hospital, among them are 32 who are severely ill, 12 who are critically ill and 35 who are moderately ill.
