Witness in Clansman-One Don Gang trial testifies that gang members eluded police by hiding in holes

The second prosecution witness in the Clansman-One Don Gang trial said under cross-examination today (November 15), that members of the gang would meet behind an old house, before going on a mission.

The witness said the old house, was in the Jones Avenue community of Spanish Town, St. Catherine, where the gang’s headquarters was located.

The witness said the reputed leader of the gang Andre “Blackman Bryan” owned a house, a bar and an unfinished studio in the community.

The witness said residents in the community worked alongside the gang.

The witness testified that gang members eluded the police by hiding in holes behind an old house in the community.

Reputed leader of the gang Andre ‘Blackman’ Bryan and 32 others have been on trial in the Home Circuit Court since September.

They are being tried on a 25 count indictment including charges of accessory before the fact to murder and being part of a criminal gang.

They are charged under the Criminal Justice Act and the Firearms Act.

The offences were allegedly committed between 2015 and 2019.

The second prosecution witness has been testifying since last month.

Chief Justice Bryan Sykes is trying the case.
