Jamaica records decline in Covid-19 cases, deaths and hospitalizations

Covid-19 cases, deaths and hospitalizations in Jamaica continue to decline.

29 Covid cases were recorded yesterday (November 16), pushing the country’s case count to 90,370.

Of the new cases, 15 are females and 14 are males.

They range in age from 31 days to 82 years.

St. Catherine recorded the highest number of cases with 7, followed by Kingston and St. Andrew with 6.

The positivity rate is 4.6 per cent.

The country’s Covid death toll remains at 2,331 as no new Covid-19 related death was recorded.

However, the Health Ministry says one death is under investigation.

Meantime, 114 more persons have recovered, pushing the tally to 61,138.

182 persons are in hospital among them 29 are severely ill, 8 critically ill and 49 moderately ill.
