Police capture man who was wanted in connection with the murder of his 16-year-old grandniece

The St. Andrew South Police have arrested 46-year-old Glenford Henry who was wanted in connection with the murder of his 16-year-old grandniece on Saturday, November 20.

Henry was held in Seaview Gardens today (November 22).

Earlier today, before his capture, police told Irie Fm news that they were close to apprehending the Henry who allegedly shot and killed Sorika Picart at her home on Lincoln Avenue, in Kingston 17.

Police reports are that about 5:45 pm, Picart was at home when an altercation developed between her and Henry, who shot her.

When cops arrived at the scene, its reported, that Henry, in fleeing, fired at the officers, wounding two of them.

A woman also received gunshot wounds during the incident.

Head of the Kingston East Police Division, Superintendent Tommie-Lee Chambers, told Irie Fm News that both policemen were stable.
