Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the National Housing Trust, NHT is being reviewed to put systems in place that are better aligned with the interests of contributors.
He said after more than 40 years in existence, institutions like the NHT have to be reviewed.
He said the review will ensure that the original mission of the trust is still relevant to today’s circumstances and conditions.
Mr. Holness noted that many persons believe NHT was designed to build not just affordable, but also social housing.
He was speaking at the NHT handing over ceremony for Twickenham Glades, in St. Catherine, today (December 1)
