Jamaica records 52 new Covid-19 cases and 1 additional death

Jamaica has recorded 52 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the case count to 91,421.

Of the new cases 34 are females, and 17 are males.

They range in age from 10 months to 95 years.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 22 followed by St. James with 14.

One other case is now under investigation.

The positivity rate is 5.2 per cent.

Meantime,1 additional death was recorded yesterday (December 3), pushing the toll to 2,407.

The Health Ministry says 1 other death is now under investigation.

77 more persons have recovered, pushing that tally to 62,824.

126 persons are in hospital, among them 17 who are severely ill, 17 who are moderately ill, and 9 who are critically ill.
