by December 6th, 2021

The Red Rose Fish Market in Kingston was officially re-opened, this morning (December 6).

The market which was closed for about seven years, was refurbished at a cost of over 40 million dollars.

The market now boasts a framed structure, vendor stall area and fish storage compartments, among other things.

Speaking during this morning’s opening ceremony Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Desmond Mckenzie, said the market is an investment in the fish vendors.

He warned vendors that the facility should only be used to sell fish.
