Over 80% of the residents at government infirmaries have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

The update was given by Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie while speaking yesterday at the Westmoreland Municipal Corporation monthly meeting.

Mr. McKenzie added that about 70% of staff are vaccinated.

He said he will make an announcement by next month, about allowing new residents to be admitted to infirmaries.
