by December 15th, 2021

Councillor for the Toll Gate division in Clarendon, Radcliffe McDonald is imploring residents to provide information to the police in fighting against criminal activities in the division.

The plea follows last night’s shooting in Havannah Heights that resulted in the killing of a man and the wounding of three others.

The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Mark Ricketts, otherwise called ‘Chappa’

A 3-year-old boy along with his mother and sister were the individuals wounded.

Speaking to Irie FM News this afternoon, Councillor McDonald said often times residents know the perpetrators but fail to provide information.

Councillor McDonald said in most cases the same set of perpetrators are involved in the incidents and they are known by residents.

He added that if residents fail to provide information, crime will continue.

He says he will be visiting the family.

Reports are that about 7:25 PM, Ricketts was entering his home when he was pounced upon by a gunman who opened fire hitting him and wounding three others.

The police were alerted and all four persons were taken to hospital where Ricketts was pronounced dead and the others admitted.
