Jamaica records 3 additional Covid-19 related deaths and 46 new cases

Three more persons have died from Covid-19 in Jamaica.

The deceased are females, ages 54, 67 and 87.

They lived in Hanover, St. Catherine and Clarendon.

The deaths occurred between October 25 and December 13.

Jamaica’s Covid-19 death toll is now 2,444.

The Health Ministry is also reporting one coincidental death.

Meantime, Jamaica’s Covid-19 case count has surpassed the 92,000 mark.

This as 46 new cases have pushed the tally to 92,018.

Of the new cases, 21 are females and 25 are males.

They range in age from 1 year to 83 years.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 22 followed by St. Catherine with 10.

The positivity rate is 4.2 per cent.

Meantime, 49 more persons have recovered, pushing the tally to 63,710.

107 persons are in hospital, among them, 11 are severely ill, 3 are critically ill and 23 are moderately ill.
