Transport Minister Robert Montague is urging the public to download and use the newly launched Travel Pal App.

Speaking at this morning’s (December 20) launch, Mr. Montague said the app is aimed at protecting those who use public transport.

He is pleading with commuters to stop travelling in vehicles which are not licensed.

He explained that once a passenger enters a vehicle, two relatives or friends will be alerted.

Meanwhile, Mr. Montague said the panic feature of the app is to be implemented soon.
