Member of Parliament for St. Elizabeth South Eastern, Frank Witter, has expressed concern, over the spate of violent acts, committed in the parish recently.

In the latest incident, which occurred about 8 PM last night, a Chinese couple was shot and killed at a supermarket they operated in Southfield.

Noting that this double murder, represents the killing of three people in separate incidents, in the parish on Tuesday, Mr. Witter said, he is worried about the number of violent occurrences.

Mr. Witter stated that St. Elizabeth is not traditionally known to be a crime hotspot.

However, the Member of Parliament noted, that he believes the police will work to get the parish’s brewing crime issue, under control.
