The Kingston Central police are warning women in the communities of the division against aiding and abetting criminals.

Head of operations, Deputy Superintendent Linval Phoenix, issued the warning while addressing residents at a recent community meeting, in the wake of a spike in shootings and murders in the area, over the past few weeks.

DSP Phoenix noted that the efforts of the police are oftentimes hindered by women who alert the criminals.

He said the police will be implementing strategies to counter the women’s activities.
