Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister, Floyd Green has revealed that in his new role in the cabinet, he will be focused on digitizing the Registrar General’s Department, RGD.

Speaking at a meeting of the Rotary Club of St. Andrew yesterday (January 18), Mr. Green explained that his role was more expansive than the rolling out of the National Identification System, NIDS.

He said he will be working to improve the processes of the RGD, while ensuring that all citizens have birth certificates.

Mr. Green added that he will also be focused on the digitization programme across the public sector, which ties in with his role in leading the roll out of NIDS.
