The genome sequencing machine at the University Hospital of the West Indies is now operational.
This after medical staff began training in use of the equipment, that will test Covid samples, especially for the Omicron variant.
Speaking at last evening‘s (January 20) Covid Conversations press briefing, Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton said he visited the hospital yesterday to get an update.
The results of the samples tested at the UHWI, will be released soon.
