Police are reporting that 20 illegal guns and 40 magazines were seized at the cargo section of the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James, this afternoon.

Preliminary reports are that about 3: 30 PM, the ports police and airport employees were doing routine cargo checks when an anomaly was discovered.

Following inquiries, a box containing 20 handguns and 40 magazines was discovered.

Head of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay said at least two people are being questioned in relation to the find.
