Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson is refuting the argument that police officers are demoralized and not performing.
Speaking with reporters yesterday (January 24), he said there was a large push from officers at the weekend to cover roads, routes and urban spaces, which have had problems.
Commissioner Anderson said this showed a commitment from officers, which does not match the narrative circulating that officers are demoralized and that they are not doing their jobs.
Commissioner Anderson noted that while things are not perfect, officers remain committed to their duties.
