562 persons hospitalized with Covid-19, 500 new cases, 2 deaths

Jamaica’s Covid-19 hospitalisations remain high.

The Health Ministry says 562 persons are hospitalized with the virus.

132 of them are moderately ill, 63 are severely ill and 21 are critically ill.

Meanwhile, 500 more persons have tested positive for the virus, pushing the country’s case count to 122,463.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 117.

The positivity rate is 36.5 per cent.

Meantime, 2 more persons have died from Covid-19, bringing the country’s death tally, to 2,617.
