The Government has improved the process for the issuing of expungement certificates.

Justice Minister Delroy Chuck made the revelation while speaking at a Justice of the Peace forum recently.

According to Mr. Chuck, there are over two thousand expungement applications that need examination.

However, he said the examinations are being delayed because they have to await the certificate from the Criminal Records Office.

As such, Mr. Chuck said persons have been sent to the Criminal Records Office to aid in speeding up the process.

Mr Chuck said the steps have been taken to aid applicants in leading a normal life.
