As heavy rain continues to lash sections of the island, Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones is calling on the authorities to address the issue of water drainage on the nation’s roadways.

Speaking in an interview with IRIE F-M news, Dr. Jones said many road networks, including the highways have poor drainage.

He explained that pooled water on roadways often leads to hydroplaning which causes accidents.
