Power restored to several communities following heavy rains, yesterday

The Jamaica Public Service JPS says electricity has been restored to the majority of communities which had power disruptions due to heavy rainfall yesterday (February 1).

Communities in St. Ann, St. Mary, Trelawny and Portland had their electricity disrupted.

JPS notes that a few communities in St. Mary are yet to be reconnected.

The areas without power are: Lighthouse, Berry Hill, Jackson District and Hazard.

JPS says it is working to have the connections restored by the end of the day.
