NWA continues clean up activities today for parishes affected by flooding

The National Works Agency, N-W-A says clean up activities continue today (February 2) for parishes affected by flooding.

St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland have been receiving torrential rainfall since Monday night (January 31) .

Senior Communication Officer at the N-W-A Dainalyn Swaby says in St. Ann, clean up is underway in Runaway Bay, Dolphin Cove and Lime Hall.

She also notes that the Tanglewood Road way has been reduced to single lane following a landslide.

And in St. Mary, Miss Swaby says clean up efforts will see the removal of a fallen tree from the Three Hills main road.

In Portland, Miss Swaby outlines that the Seaman‘s valley roadway has been cleared, after it was blocked by a tree that took down a Jamaica Public Service power line.

She says work is also being done on the Bellevue Road.

She is advising the public that the Craig Mill Bridge in Portland remains closed and is urging residents not to attempt to crossing it.
