The B.B. Coke High school in St. Elizabeth has been plunged into mourning following the death of one of its teachers, yesterday.
Dead is 59-year-old Garfield Dennis, a construction teacher at the institution.
Dennis was allegedly found hanging from the ceiling of a woodwork shop located at his home in Malvern, by police. He is suspected to have committed suicide.
In an interview with IRIE FM News this morning (Feb.3), a colleague disclosed that the incident took him by surprise, as he knew Mr. Dennis as a cheerful individual.
He notes that the entire school community is in a sombre mood.
