Police maintain strong presence in Coronation Market following double murder this morning

The police are maintaining strong presence in the Coronation Market in Downtown Kingston, following a double murder early this morning (February 5).

Dead are 50-year-old Carlton Armstrong a shop keeper of Bond Street Kingston 14 and 21-year-old Orlando Turner of Freeman’s Hall, Albert Town in Trelawny.

The men were shot dead in the market by gunmen at around 12:30 am.

Head of the Kingston Western Police, Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps says shoppers visiting the market can shop in peace.

He says no motive has yet been established for the double murder.
