229 more persons have tested positive for Covid-19, pushing the country’s case count to 126, 222.

The Health Ministry is reporting, that of the new cases 134 are females and 95 are males.

Their ages range from 23 days to 97 years.

All parishes except St. Thomas recorded new cases. Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 53 and St. Catherine followed with 51.

The positivity rate is 24.9%

Meantime, 4 more persons have died from the virus, pushing the death tally to 2, 698.

The Health Ministry says the deaths occurred in January, 2022.

There is one coincidental death.

392 persons are hospitalized. 94 of them are moderately ill, 48 are severely ill and 10 are critically ill.

Meantime, 184 more persons have recovered from the virus, pushing total recoveries to 71, 623.
