The country’s Covid-19 cases, deaths and hospitalizations continue to decline.

128 new cases were recorded yesterday (February 7) down from the 229 recorded the previous day.

The country’s case count is now 126,350.

Of the new cases, 69 are females and 59 are males.

They range in age from 3 months to 100 years.

All parishes recorded new cases.

St. James recorded the highest number of cases with 44, followed by St. Thomas with 19.

The positivity rate has also declined to 13.9 per cent.

Meantime, the Health Ministry is reporting one additional Covid-19 related death, pushing the death toll to 2,699.

The deceased is a 63 year old female from St. Catherine.

There was one coincidental death.

4 other deaths are now under investigation.

387 persons are hospitalised with Covid-19, among them, 43 are severely ill, 8 are critically ill and 84 are moderately ill.

195 more persons have recovered, pushing the tally to 71,818.
