Dancehall entertainer QQ expresses gratitude for Prime Minister’s National Youth Award

Dancehall deejay QQ and Digital Creator Rohan “Quite Perry” were among fifteen young Jamaicans who received the 2021 Prime Minister’s National Youth Awards for Excellence on Sunday evening.

QQ, who began his music career as a child star, was awarded in the category for music, while Quiet Perry received the award in the category of New Media.

Both QQ and Quite Perry used their social media platforms to express gratitude for the recognition.

Via his official Instagram account, QQ shared the good news with a post of a picture of himself. In the caption, he expressed gratitude, thanking “God, the people of Jamaica, the government, and his fans.” He also stated that he’s humbled by the recognition.

Meanwhile, in a series of posts highlighting his accomplishment, Quite Perry congratulated all the nominees before thanking the Prime Minister for recognizing his hard work, his team, and supporters. He also expressed that he is honoured and thankful.

The annual Prime Minister’s National Youth Awards for Excellence highlights youth who have made significant contributions to the country.
