Today has been declared the first World Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Day.

Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett who leads the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre, made the declaration during a forum this morning (February 17).

The declaration is part of efforts to bring more focus on the need for tourism resilience.

Mr. Bartlett said going forward the day will focus on strengthening tourism dependent nations against disruptions.
