The Covid-19 pandemic has offered valuable insights into the future needs and challenges of the tourism industry.

That’s according to Prime Minister Andrew Holness.

Speaking at a global tourism resilience forum this morning (February 17), Mr. Holness said the pandemic has emphasized the need for stakeholders to reduce human and other risks associated with the tourism sector.

The Prime Minister said in the post Covid era, international travellers will opt for sustainable destinations.

Mr. Holness noted that the task of resilience building is even more urgent for regions and sub regions with a high degree of tourism dependence.
