INDECOM recommends use of body-worn cameras by new Joint Anti-Gang Taskforce

The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM is recommending that body worn cameras be provided to members of the new Joint Anti-Gang Taskforce.

70 security force personnel have been specially trained by both the JCF and JDF to serve as members of the task force, which aims to rid the country of guns, gunmen and gangs.

Speaking at a press conference this morning (February 17), Commissioner of INDECOM, Hugh Faulkner said body worn cameras would assist in investigations.

Commissioner Faulkner said INDECOM is also recommending that steps be taken to ensure that body worn cameras are part of the general equipment of the operational arm of the security forces.
