The Clarendon Police are probing the murder of a 37-year-old businessman and the wounding of a woman, in Berbie District, last night (February 18).

Dead is Ian Ellington, otherwise called ‘Toto British’ of Hunts Pen, May Pen in the parish.

Reports are that about 11:15 p.m., explosions were heard and the police summoned.

On their arrival, officers found Ellington and the woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were taken to hospital where Ellington was pronounced dead, and the woman was admitted in stable condition.
