He says these persons should be rooted-out of their hiding places.

The Police Commissioner says some men are becoming more evil, where they are savagely raping women and minors without fear.

He urges communities to stand together and become the eyes and ears for themselves and their neighbours, in an effort to rid their communities of men who rape and commit other crimes

He states that given the increase in the level of cases of rapes, especially among minors the time has come for citizens to say what they know to bring those responsible to justice.

He was delivering the keynote address at the St James chapter of the Lay Magistrates Association Awards Banquet in Montego Bay.

The incident Dr Williams spoke of occurred in Clarendon last Tuesday, where a woman who was bathing in a canal close to home was held up at gun point by a man.

The man reportedly ordered the woman to take him to her house where he allegedly sexually assaulted the woman’s 9-year-old niece.
