As Russia presses further in its assault on Ukraine, some Jamaican students living in Russia have expressed concern that the war between the two countries will leave them in financial difficulties.

One student told IRIE FM news that the war has triggered an increase in prices and the closure of many financial institutions, including Western Union.

She said students have been storing essential items in the event the situation worsens.

She said they are also looking at evacuation plans.
