24 Jamaican students who have been traveling to Poland on foot have reached the Polish border.

The students who are fleeing to Poland following  Russia’s invasion of  Ukraine had to abandon their bus, to make the 12-mile journey on foot.

In an update Sunday afternoon, Foreign Affairs Minister Kamina Johnson Smith says the students made it to an agreed border-crossing point.

She says flight arrangements will be made as soon as they are available, in a bid to get the students to Jamaica.
