by March 3rd, 2022

The group of Jamaican students travelling from Ukraine arrived on the island on Wednesday.

The 20 students were met at the Sangster International Airport by State Minister in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Leslie Campbell.

The students’ journey home began on February 25, when they boarded a train from the city of Kharkiv heading to the polish border.

They had to walk several miles after their commute via bus was disrupted.

One of the Jamaican students, Rhonda-kaye Trought, expressed happiness to be home, while sharing her experience on the journey home.
