Country records 29 new Covid-19 cases and 1 more death

Jamaica has recorded 29 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the country’s case count to 128,108.

Of the new cases 17 are females and 12 are males.

They range in age from 10 months to 93 years.

All parishes recorded new cases.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 6.

The positivity rate is 4.6 per cent.

The Health Ministry is also reporting an additional death, pushing the toll to 2,815.

The deceased is an 88 year old man from St. Thomas.

Four other deaths are now under investigation.

107 persons are hospitalised, among them 7 are severely ill, 7 critically ill and 25 are moderately ill.

Meantime, 267 more persons have recovered from the virus.
