Police are investigating a major gun find at a warehouse in Kingston, today (March 4).
Preliminary reports from the Police Corporate Communications Unit are that some 21 weapons including 18 pistols and 3 rifles were seized during an intelligence driven operation.
A quantity of assorted ammunition was also found.
The on-going operation is being led by the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Division, CTOC.
Meantime, the police have listed a woman as a Person of Interest in the investigation of today’s seizure.
She is Jadian Alecia Edwards of 3 East, Greater Portmore, St Catherine.
Detectives believe she may be of assistance to the investigation.
Ms Edwards is being urged to turn herself in to the CTOC before 12:00 p.m., tomorrow.
Today’s seizure is the second at the island’s wharves this week.
On Monday, some 6 guns were found hidden in television sets at the Montego Bay Wharf, in St. James.
