Motorists to see sharp increase in gas prices tomorrow as Russia/Ukraine conflict impacts global oil prices

by March 9th, 2022

Motorists will see a sharp increase in gas prices at the pumps come tomorrow (March 10), as the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to adversely impact global oil prices.

Petrojam issued its latest billing list today, showing that all products supplied by the refinery will cost $4.50 more per litre.

The products are E10 87 and 90 gasoline, automotive diesel oil, ultra-low sulphur diesel, kerosene, as well as propane and butane liquid petroleum gas.

Marketing companies will add their markups to the announced prices.

Petrojam says this week’s prices were mainly impacted by Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine and increasing sanctions from the rest of the world.

President of the United States, Joe Biden yesterday imposed a ban on Russian oil and other energy imports, and this drove oil prices higher.
